Project Person #9.5 // An update (+ stats)

When I first started this email series, I had written five Project Person profiles. I told myself I would just commit to sending those, see how this whole thing felt, and decide if I wanted to keep going. 

I’ve now just written the 10th profile, which doesn’t sound like a ton—but it’s double where I started!

I’ve loved the prompt to write something each week and the challenge to find an arc in each story, to distill a decade or more of someone’s experience into ~1500 words, to find themes that resonate no matter the industry… 

And I have really loved hearing from you.

This little email list now has 408 subscribers, and we’re holding strong at a 70+% open rate.

(Sometimes I feel bummed that it’s not like 265308371 subscribers yet, but then other times I feel really thrilled about where we’re at. Such is the life of an Enneagram Three I guess.)

My favorite part is that you readers are in great company. The absolute coolest people are on this email list. 

In fact, I’m constantly thinking about how I wish everyone knew everyone else, so I’ve decided to add a new section to the emails calling out some subscribers and their projects. Look out for that at the bottom of the next email!

SO, yes, I’m going to keep sending these Profiles + Primers. 

BUT I am about to go into a writing pain cave for awhile for my book project—I have very fun news to share on that front soon—which means I’m going to shift to sending these emails every other week: a profile on the first Friday of the month and a primer on the third. 

In the meantime, keep forwarding these emails to Project Persons you know if they feel helpful. You can also share this link (https://project-person.beehiiv.com/subscribe) in group texts, on social, or in other places where an email forward doesn’t cut it. (265308371 subscribers, here we come).
