I’ve second-hand hyperventilated over author’s book tour schedules recently. They are 40-stops-in-30-days kinds of tours, and there’s just no way I could swing something even remotely close to that right now. How do people do this?!

I AM excited for some version of a book tour though, so I decided to get super intentional about it, maximizing every opportunity. I also wanted to channel the very best parts of my Big Fake Wedding days into the launch of this book, knowing that events can be pretty magical given the right people, ideas, and execution.

So, my “book tour” schedule is below. Each event will have a different focus based on a theme in The Brunswick, and each will be in partnership with people and places I admire.

I’d love to see you at any (or all 😉) of these. And I’d love your help spreading the word!

  • Focus: How real life experiences shape fiction

  • Best for: Emerging authors, bookstagrammers, or anyone in the publishing world

  • Why I’m most excited about this: Sarah is a favorite author of mine, and we also share a heart for vulnerable children and families, especially in the foster care system.

  • Tuesday April 28 at 1p ET. Hosted via Zoom. Register here

    • (Use code “Guest” in the Order Number section if you’ve preordered elsewhere or just aren’t in a financial place to preorder)

→ Launch Day Book Pick-up Party at Freckles & Co.

  • Focus: Seeing that book in people’s hands (!!)

  • Best for: People in or close to Norcross who can pick up the book in person (bonuses included)

  • Why I’m most excited about this: Norcross got a local bookstore a year ago, and they are the absolute dream. They’ve been all-in on this book launch, and I hope this book will help draw people in to their gorgeous store.

  • Why I’m most excited about this: Some of our favorite musicians, Jess Ray and Taylor Leonhardt of Mission House, will join me in what will feel like a songwriter round. I’m also excited about the venue—a stained-glass chapel. We have some surprises in store for this one!

  • Why I’m most excited about this: My mother-in-law Kitti and friend Hung of Refuge Coffee Co. will join me for a chat, moderated by my favorite storyteller BT Harman. These are some of the most interesting people I know! It’s also in a super-hip, secret-y building in South Downtown, just before the World Cup descends.

→ Author Talk at The Tattered Cover in Denver/Littleton, CO

  • Tuesday July 21 at the Norcross Public Library. Event at 5:30p, with a signing to follow. Registration link coming soon.

While this email list has been my unofficial launch team (thank you / I’m sorry), this week is the last call to join my OfFiCiAl LaUnCh TeAm. I’ll send out a few emails with hyper-specific asks, and I’ll also share updates on how the launch is going. You can sign up in the form deep within this page: https://www.calliemurray.com/book 💛
